What tools are involved?
Do I need to replace any timberwork?
Do I need to strip any old felt off?
Does the roof need to be dry before installation?

Q. Do I need any special tools to install the system?
A. EPDM:
No. You only need the usual DIY tools such as saw/screwdriver and hammer etc. There are no specialist tool required.

A. Liquid Rubber:
No. A pressure washer if you have one other wise you simply need a paint brush & a rough broom is useful for preparation.

Q. Do I need to replace any timberwork?
A. No. Unless it's rotten or water damaged.

Q. Do I need to strip the felt off my roof before I start?
A. Only if your roof decking is soft or rotten as the system uses a geotextile breather underlay, which also has excellent thermal insulating qualities.

Q. Does the roof need to be perfectly dry before installation?
A. Your roof will never be perfectly dry as all flat roofs have a certain amount of water retention although the drier the better even though the rubber membrane breathes due to it being vapour permeable allowing you to install the roof with minimal fuss on a damp surface..

Q. What surfaces can the liquid rubber be painted to?
A. Liquid rubber can be painted on almost any sound surface like metal, timber, concrete, also corrugated asbestos rendering it safe.
